This bag was made out of the entire pelt of a small coyote. It is lined in a leafy forest patterned calico and closes using a fingerwoven deerskin strap. I assembled it using a combination of hand sewing and machine sewing in order to make sure that the bag is durable and well put together. It is very primal looking and a unique way to carry your things around. You won't be able to keep your hands off all that soft coyote fluff!
For those interested in ethically sourced fur, the coyote pelt used to make this bag was a "roadkill" pelt purchased from the lovely Miss Zhon from DeviantART. The deer hide was purchased from a Native American crafts company that gets their deer leather as a byproduct of the meat. No animals were killed solely for their fur or skin in order to make this bag!
Measurements : 11.5 inches tall x 18 inches in diameter with 20 inch strap with bag completely unfurled
Lovely, lovely work! What kind of weave did you use on the drawstring?
I am absolutely in love with this! Could you ever make another? I can provide you the fur!
Beautiful work, and thank you for including the reassuring information about where you get your materials! Even some professional sites have made me wonder/worry in the past.
I don't always use roadkilled fur but when I do I try to mention it. Thanks.
I'm really glad you like it, I was fretting the whole time it was in transit. Thank you for giving it a good home! <3
That's awesome. Quite pleased it was ethically sourced stuff as well.

Is the strap connected/tied together at the end?
The two straps are braided together for the last 3 or so inches at the end, yes
^-^ soooo beautiful. it looks so soft.
This is amazing.
Absolutely beautiful!!!!! The color of the coyote's fur and the buckskin go very well together
Thanks! I think the patterns of the fur itself are more beautiful then any decoration I could add. You can see the coyote's mantle very well if you look at it from the right side.
this is beautiful <3 thanks for making beautiful art from a terrible tragedy. How much is it?
