Adjustable Horsehair Bracelet - Cutie Pie

This listing is for an adjustable horsehair bracelet braided in liver chestnut. The hair was collected by me from a mare named "Cutie Pie" who was surrendered by her owner because he could not afford to keep her. She was a delightful little mare with a spunky personality. Cutie Pie was nearly euthanized because she had an untreated third degree perineal laceration - her owner had pulled a foal out of her with a four wheeler! Fortunately we were able to place her in a loving home willing to pay for her surgery. This bracelet is adjustable to any size and would be appropriate for any lover of horses, male or female.

All of my horsehair items are handmade by me using horsehair gathered from animals encountered through my work in the animal welfare field. Only a small amount is taken from each horse during the normal grooming process. Each animal is an individual who's memory lives on in the items made from their hair, even after the animal has passed through my life. All my horsehair is cruelty-free, is not a by-product of the equine slaughter industry and is vegetarian/vegan friendly.

Any proceeds from this item go to help feed and house my own rescue horse, Buck and my current foster horse, Lucy.
